Admission process – To get admission in any class there is an entrance exam on the lines of scholarships exam. There is also a writing exam. An interview of parents and physically capable students is conducted as well. All these qualifying rounds are compulsory. Those students who will fill the entire admission form properly, without any mistake and have required certificates will be considered eligible to give the pre-admission exam.
Written Exam-
Interview of students is conducted by the board. In this interview sharpness, intelligence, confidence, bravery, courage, and inarticulateness of students are tested. Parents of students are also interviewed. After completion of the all the above-given rounds list and waiting list of Scheduled Tribes (ST), Nomadic Tribes (NT), Other Backward Class (OBC) and open category students who are selected on merit are displayed on the school’s notice board based on the government criteria. No written correspondence is done for student’s selection. Those students who want to take admission on reservation quota seats need to submit a caste certificate as a name proof and parents need to submit their income certificate to the proper officer. If they fail to do so they are not considered eligible for the seat in reservation quota.
Documents to be attached with admission forms for selected students –
1. Last year mark sheet and school leaving certificate.
2. Passport size photograph.
3. Caste certificate (For backward class)
4. Income certificate
5. for children of ex-Army personnel a relevant certificate as proof for being in Indian Army is needed Entrance exams will be conducted in the Marathi language.

First Session – June to October
Second Session – November to May
A day on which school will reopen in both sessions will be conveyed to parents
School Syllabus –
Syllabus from eight to tenth standard is according to Maharashtra State Education Board, Pune syllabus. The medium of school is Marathi, but Maths and Science are taught for more periods. Apart from school syllabus Drills, Karate, Computer, General Knowledge, English Speaking, Mountaineering, Trekking, Group Discussions are also taught.
Extracurricular Activities –
- Various competitions like Elocution, Drawing, Storytelling, Handwriting, Singing etc. are organized.
2. National leaders anniversaries and different programs on the occasion of national festivals are also organized.
3. By organizing various cultural programs, a platform is made available to students to display their skills.
4. Birthdays of each and every student is celebrated on personal and group level by taking prior permission.
5. Gatherings, Educational Tours, Sports Festival are organized.
6. Recitation, ‘Sanskar Varg’ are also organized.
Dining Arrangement for Resident Students
Datta Seva Vidyalaya being a resident school, the accommodation and food arrangement for students is made by the school itself. Students are served food as per the menu card prepared by the school. There are no compromises made regarding serving balanced diet to students. Proper diet is provided at the proper time. Milk, Eggs, Mutton, Fruits, Leafy Vegetables, Cereals, Biscuits are included in the diet.
